History

Whitney was founded by Mark Stenftenagel in 1984 as an Interior Design firm. Mark’s objective was to form a diverse group of architects and interior design professionals into multi- disciplinary teams that would provide a full range of services in both design and technical areas. This vision created an organization based on a studio model instead of a departmentalized structure. The studio approach embraces the collaboration of disciplines, expertise and experience. The staff is challenged to grow within all segments of architecture and design. The longer staff tenure yielded from this collaborative approach has provided continuity of project teams for our clients.
