Whitney was challenged with designing a new lounge area and reception at 1 Northbrook Place that would compliment the existing natural stone walls and floors. Through the use of new seating, custom planters and area rugs, Whitney was able to create a more inviting meeting environment for their tenants and guests.

As a continuation of the new design aesthetic, similar colors and techniques were implemented in the building’s main corridors, elevator lobbies, and delicatessen. These updates to the common areas brought a fresh image to one of the suburb’s premier multi-tenant buildings.

The heart of the project was in reconnecting the experience of arrival at the office with the authenticity, comfort, and inspiration of the travel experiences A&K offers.  Layers of material and light in the reception area carefully displayed ancient artifacts in a tastefully understated manor, complimenting the corporate brand.
